ABM Bridge Systems, has recently completed the installation of 62.5 metre long 16.4 metre span buried arch structure to house the Renault F1 Team’s Computational Fluid Dynamics Centre (CFD) in Enstone, Oxfordshire. The company has chosen the modular spreader system complete with several of its accessories to assist with the assembly of the roof of the innovative technology driven research centre.
Part of the heavy range, the 12.5 metre Modulift 110 spreader, which offers a maximum load capacity of 50 tonnes at a 45 degree sling angle, has been used to install the pre-cast roof units onto the building. To the rig arrangement, ABM Bridge Systems also ordered a number of accessories, including 85 tonne, 55 tonne and 25 tonne shackles and four 20 tonne WILL EWL polyester round slings, enabling the spreader to be re-used throughout the project in different configurations.
“We are pleased to have received this order from ABM Bridge Systems, especially as it’s for such a high profile project,” comments Nick Latham. “We have built our reputation on providing a unique, high quality product, which a broad spectrum of industries can benefit from and we are focused on delivering an excellent level of service. In order to accommodate the lifting requirements, ABM provided drawings of the project which enabled us to provide the right size and length of strut to hoist the roof units.”
