Spreader Frames:
The components of the Modulift Spreader Beams can be assembled into a 4-point spreader frame by using additional corner components. A rigid frame is formed by bolting together the various components.
Material handling frames are beneficial over using a cascading rig because less slings and components are used, thus saving cost and rigging time. Frames are are also good where height of the rig is restricted.
A square frame, with Corner Units* at each corner (yellow). The end units from the spreader beam components are bolted to each corner unit as shown, with the struts between the corner units. The combination of struts is determined by the desired frame dimensions.
A rectangular frame, with Corner Units* and Angle Adaptors* at each corner (yellow).
The Angle Adaptors suit a particular range of Length-to-Width ratios of frame. Different types of Angle Adaptor are available depending on requirements.
*- Patent Pending.
Cascading Rigs:
For multiple lift points for handling very long and slender loads, the Modulift
spreaders can be assembled in complex, cascading rigs. Modulift can plan and
design complex lifting rigs - see Lifting Rig Design.
