Specs & Testing

Destruction Testing:

Machinery Directive StandardsMDC have carried out destruction testing using our specially developed compression test rig. The load at failure exceeded 4 times SWL at the maximum span.

This verifies that the Modulift design complies with and exceeds the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive 98/37/EEC and the UK adoptive legislation Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 1992. (S.I. 1992/3073) and Supply of Machinery (Safety) (Amendment) Regulations 1994. (S.I. 1994/2063).

Proof load Testing:

Each modulift series has been proof load tested to 1.25 x SWL at both maximum SWL and maximum span. This testing has been carried out "live" using dead weights, and also in MDC's compression test rig.
